4th and 5th Grade Students and Families:
We have prepared lessons for you to complete during the time we are out of school. We recommend the following guidelines for completion of assignments:
Math - 30 min per day; instructional videos, MobyMax, and Splash Math on Mrs. Roper’s school webpage; email photos of completed assignments to Mrs. Roper's email and complete assignments on MobyMax!
Reading - 30 min per day; complete assignments as written/send photo of completed grammar assignments daily to Ms. Shamblin by email or text. Tests over story due to be returned to teacher via email or text by Friday.
Science - 30 min per day; follow lesson plan outline provided by Ms. Spivey and send photos of completed work as they are finished.
Social Studies - 30 min per day; follow lesson plan outline provided by Ms. Spivey and send photos of completed work as they are finished.
We suggest students have a 1-hour block of instruction in the morning, take a lunch break and do another 1-hour block right after lunch. Each student needs to also have 30 minutes per day of self-selected reading, either on Epic.com or from a book of choice.
Please feel free to contact us via email during regular school hours. On Monday, March 23, between the hours of 8 am and 12 pm, please arrange to come to the picnic tables in front of the elementary building to pick up your child’s materials for the week. We will not be available for pick up after 12 noon, so please make arrangements for someone to come for you in the event you cannot be here during that time frame.
