This week please complete 3 tests for Unit 9 in Vocabtest.com. Please paste a screenshot of your results on the google doc labeled Vocabtest Answers-Unit 9. Be sure to change your name and class period.

In addition, I would like for you to write a 3 paragraph essay on how the coronavirus will effect the way we conduct school when we return. If there is not an immunization, will we have to have smaller class sizes, take temperatures before entering the building, limit the number of people gathered at sporting events or have to sit 6 foot apart? Please write this essay on the google doc labeled Coronavirus-What will change?

Your assignment this week is to write a 5 paragraph essay on your thoughts concerning the coronavirus and being out of school.

First Paragraph: Give a general explanation of what has been happening in our country since spring break. Tell me what you know about the CoronaVirus, where it came from, how it spread over the world etc.
Second Paragraph: Write your opinion on the students who went to the beach over spring break who were advised to stay home and their role in spreading the virus. How does this relate to your situation and what changes have you and your family made?
Third Paragraph: What are some positive reactions of people during this crisis? We are seeing examples of heroes all over this country. What ways could you show support or concern for someone in need?
Fourth Paragraph: How do you think this will change education in the future. Do you think the changes will be positive or negative. Do you think it will change extra-curricular activities? Do you think we will be back this year?
Fifth Paragraph: Recap what you've written about and include your final thoughts. Think about how this has affected you and your fellow schoolmates. Has it given you a chance to think about your future? Do you think we will ever go back to "normal" or is this going to change everything?

Complete this on the attached google doc titled Coronavirus Essay and click Turn In at the top of the google doc when complete. Please do not submit this via email--10 points will be deducted if not submitted correctly.

*Start with your name and class on top left. Title centered. Each paragraph needs to be indented and a minimum of 3 sentences.

We will be doing Unit 8 this week in Vocabtest.com. Instead of emailing me the result of each test, please refer to the attached page for instructions. You will put your screenshot on the VocabTest Answers document.

Go to www.vocabtest.com and login. If you don't have an account, you can create one. Be sure to remember your password. Again, you have to login for you to get credit for the lessons. Next, scroll down to your grade level and click on Junior *Note, this is a different lesson than the one you were previously working on. Next, click on Unit 7. You will need to take 5 tests over these words. The first test needs to be learning definitions. You can take as many tests as you want to, but you need 5 different tests. (For example, learning definitions is one test and reverse definitions is a second test. You can take learning definitions many times, but it will only count as one test.) I will only take the top two grades of the 5 tests. You can repeat a test as many times as you want in order to improve your grade. When you are done, go to "tests" to see your grades and take a screenshot of your test results. Make sure that it includes your name at the top of the screenshot and then email me that screenshot.
